Slide Identification
Your answer should be 600-750 words maximum, or threepages at a rate of 200 to 250 words per page. Your answers
should be approximately a little over a page per image.
The PPT for the slide identification will contain 2 composite slides, you will be asked to identify and comment on one (1) of
these composite slides for the final exam. The composite slides comprise two (2) images and you must identify and address
each of these.
Identify the artists, events, works, publications, artist’s books, performances, to which the images refer. Give the following
information: Titles, names of artists, authors, musicians, or performers along with the relevant dates.
Give the historical and aesthetic context for these. You are expected to give a list of similarities, commonalities as well as
divergences and contrasts between the works in each composite slide. Identification is a small fraction of the mark, with the
emphasis being placed on your understanding of the context of production, themes at play and comprehension of the
artists’ and movements’ goals.
