Introduction to Leadership in Education Systems Course
Leadership Vision Paper:
You will develop a leadership vision paper that provides a framework for your thinking about who you are as a developing leader. As you consider your current leadership abilities and what you will need in order to further build your leadership capacity, you are creating a pathway or plan for the continuous improvement of your leadership self. Your paper will document this thinking. Your introduction should clearly state the purpose of the paper, which is to develop your leadership vision. In the body of your paper, describe what you believe to be effective leadership, incorporating ideas and information from class readings, outside readings, an interview with a current leader, as well as ideas from your own experience base. You should include your perspectives as to how an effective leader can and should impact an organization. Headings must be used throughout to facilitate the organizational structure of your paper. The Wisconsin Administrator Standards are good examples of headings to use. You may use a first-person point of view. Use APA style for layout, in-text citations, and references. Do not include an abstract.
Paper should be a minimum of five pages.
