Changing Criterion Designs
This week, practice identifying changing criterion design studies and analyzing the conclusions of made in the study. Choose one of the following choices to respond to. You do not need to respond to all of them.
Review the Cook et al. (2015) article, “Differential Negative Reinforcement of Other Behavior to Increase Wearing of a Medical Bracelet.” Briefly describe the design that was used. Review the graphs and give a visual analysis (trend, level, variability). Was a functional relationship demonstrated? Why or why not? What recommendations would you make to improve the design?
Review the Kurti and Dallery (2013) article, “Internet-Based Contingency Management Increases Walking in Sedentary Adults.” Briefly describe the design that was used. Review the graph for either experiment one or experiment two and give a visual analysis (trend, level, variability). Was a functional relationship demonstrated? Why or why not? What recommendations would you make to improve the design?
Identify an article of your choice using a changing criterion design. Review the graphs and give a visual analysis (tend, level, variability). Was a functional relationship demonstrated? Why or why not? What recommendations would you make to improve the design?
